i apologize, even if my comment did not offend anyone. it did offend me after i read your post!
Missy, I understand you are relatively new to not drinking, and that may be why. BTW, Congratulations on your sober time. Missy.
Congratulations to flatsix on your sober time and LOVED reading your list, very interested and so right -- the things we notice. Keep going it only gets better.
I love the list! You should have no problem staying busy over the weekend. I got a pretty big chuckle out of #7 also. Sobriety definitely improves ones judgment.
About a week into my recovery, I was talking to a friend on the phone who told me, "I'm sure you could be a very attractive woman when you're sober." WHAT??? I thought I was HOT! I still think I'm hot but he was right, nothing attractive about a drunk chick.
Glad your getting your dog some medical attention. Messed up ears are no fun!

i now feel bad for saying i got a laugh out of #7.... i should have used better judgment... he just caught me off guard w/it.. i did not take in the fact that some of the women on the site might be looking down on their self in their struggling times.
i apologize, even if my comment did not offend anyone. it did offend me after i read your post!

isnt it great to get up have a shower and feel great /
without having to throw up when you brush your teeth.
sobriety is soooooo much better than drinking.
and also that horrible gut wrenching feeling of what do did or said the night before.aaaaaaaagggh.
to be able to remember everything you did or said is a truly great gift of sobriety.
i just had a friend over who is still in active addiction.
he told me he went to a hotel for a few days with his gf and when he was there.
he s##t his pants.
can you imagine??
i feel really sorry for him. alcohol is a killer.
glad im not drinking.

No, no all. I was kidding. I am more likely to be all well, hot chickish when drinking, but I am sure I look better when I'm not. Don't feel bad! I know what he (and you guys meant). Incidentally, I was off my diet yesterday--had my favorite pasta and a bad, bad Starbucks, but this morning, day seven of sobriety, my weight is 1.2 down from yesterday. Man, I must have been drinking a lot! I'm gonne be slim, lovely, and able to dance in heels without stumbling.
