Rehab

I am off to a rehab centre in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, soon - I hope it helps.

I was too tired to go to a meeting this evening, hopefully tomorrow. It will be nice to share with my AA friends.

It will be good to get back to work after Rehab. They told me it is taking 2-3 people to do my job!

I told someone that alcoholism is the worst disease in the world, so baffling and powerful, and cunning.

I wish I could get to "that magical moment", when the obsession to drink is lifted from me.

Kelly

Welcome, Kelly - good for you for getting help.... I found rehab to be a really great experience and hope you do too. I know it's scary, but once you get there and get settled, you'll start feeling so much better.

Hope you can check in with us and tell us how you're doing!:ghug3

Go with the desire to stop drinking one day
at a time. That's a good start to an awesome
recovery journey building a strong solid foundation
to live upon for the rest of ur life.

Rehab will be a continuation of your life's story
that you will share and pass on to the newcomers
that will follow behind you. It will be unique because
even tho it will sound similar to others, this one will
be your own story.

Wishing you the best during your stay at rehab. I got quite a bit out of it when I went.

I wish you the best in rehab. I just finished and absolutely loved it. (I miss it!)
I hope it will help you as much as it did me! Great experience.

Good luck with rehab. Remember you still have a job, so don't mess it up.

I never regretted going to rehab in fact it was the best thing I could have done checking myself into rehab it gave me a good start to sobriety and recovery. They taught me a lot about alcoholism and why I did the things I did and I got a lot of tools in recovery to follow and use on a daily bases.

Don't worry about that magical moment now it will come in time, just give it all you got! Please check back with us and let us know.. The best to you Kelly... and stay strong..
