Some things will never change...like the fact that stbxah picked up the kids from the babysitter for me 1 time this year, and she mentioned she thought he had been drinking...and what do you know he had. Of course, he wasn't "drunk", he only had 1 or no make that two...or WHATEVER!! I won't make the mistake of asking him to pick up the kids again. SO let's see can I live like that NOPE!! Never again!! And of course then there is that little verbal abuse, name calling, and threatening issue.....still does it whenever he gets the chance...so again nothing changed. He has been waiting for me to "see" that I can't do it on my own - not changing, just waiting! Well guess what I CHANGED.....I am not the same person I was before. I will not sit and silently watch as he destroys my life and my childrens anymore....so guess what the PAPERS ARE DONE!! And once he signs them, they will be filed....and in 60 days he can have his own lonely pathetic life alone! I really am not bitter, just done and washing my hands of this horrible mess! My kids are happy again, I am happy again.....and aside from the occassional annoyance of him.....all is well!

I'm on the cusp of starting the divorce process myself... I'm scared. A small part of me wants to hold back, maybe just a "separation"... maybe this time he'll change... all these little things I keep telling myself to remind myself that there's hope.

Thank you for what you posted. It reminds me that maybe, just maybe... nothing will change on his side of the street. A divorce/separation is for me. To protect me, and the kids.
