7 days stronger
March 19, 2011 was my last drink. I didn't know it would be my last and glad I didn't. Sadly I realize I might have gone overboard knowing it was the final drink. I have cycled through dry spells and then worked myself back up to overboard. It has been 7 months since my last over the top episode. I have gone no further than a decent buzz but was dishonest when I had a few by myself. I have done a lot of research about it and am drawing support from my family, church and now here 
I am so thankful and realize I can't change my past behaviors. I can only try to understand them. I thank my husband for giving me heck the last few weeks that finally drove me to where I am now. I thank God for allowing me to feel the bad and the good. I thank everyone here for the nurturing support that seems to make it less painful.

Thank you everyone for the support. Staying strong so far. Hoping for the strength for the rest of the journey. Will need to be honest with myself and others but also keep in mind there will be just as many hardships as bright light.
