9th day sober
I have recently began going to Alcoholics Anonymous in Omaha, NE, and I was just hoping to make a network of friends that I could talk to that have had success with the program. I have started going to 1-2 meetings/week for the last 2 or 3 weeks and tonight has been my 9th day of sobriety. I really like what the program has to offer and just looking to meet other people who have been through what I have. Trying to get a new start on life and first the time I want to. It definitely hasn't been easy and just looking for a network of friends to talk to more about the program. I want to get a sponsor and go through the steps. Anyways, just looking for support from other people who are just like me.

Glad things are "clicking" for you with AA. It's been great for me.
You will make some wonderful friends in the Fellowship.
You might want to hang out a bit over on the 12-Step forum. There's a little more AA talk there than on the Newcomers or general Alcoholism forums (though these are awesome, too).

I've been making SR my cyber home group for years and
it's a vital supplement to my local AA conection...
