Prayer request for this weekend....
Hi -
I know.
Again.
As some may remember,
last week was spring break.
I spent four days of it in bed.
Sick.
Same thing that I've been having for a year now -
extreme pain in my shoulder and neck
then throwing up.
Well -
this week my shoulder
has swollen up
and into my neck
so the doc has ordered a NEW set of tests
and possibly a biopsy
(I mean, why else would she be having me
go to the lab at the hospital for the tests)
so at least now she knows for sure
it's a lymph node.
SO!
Please toss out a prayer for the BENIGN word
and hope that it's just some strange kind of infection
even a viral thing will be okay
that's been going on off and on for almost two years.
That I know of -
they're gonna be testing for MONO
(can you believe? lol)
lyme disease, some kind of herpatic thingy
and of course... lymphoma.
Staying in the moment, I am.
Coming here and reading helps me so very much.

A couple of weeks ago I woke up about 4:30 in the morning with some heavy duty pain under my jaw. I got up and went to the bathroom and it looked like I had the mumps! I thought I did! I went to the doctor and they tested me for all those things (mono, strep, lyme disease, etc.). All the tests came back negative, so she put me on a strong anti-biotic and a course of steriods. The swelling went down and I felt much better in just a couple of days.
I hope it's nothing more serious than that for you, too. I'll send up a few prayers though, just to make sure.
