Went to work this morning to find out if i still had a job or not(alcohol). was told to wait two hours then they'd get with me. ....ok two hours pass, they drive me to a hospital for a screen. 15-24 hours before results....so they send me home. 10:00 liquor stores open...wtf?. So now i'm thinking they can terminate me(with seveverance) or they trying to fire me. what's my friends thoughts? I've done two detoxs in two weeks. haven't made it past day 3 yet.
Showed up at the first detox a 374. i know i got probs.but think i'm workiing on them in the state of mind i'm in....which isn't good.

Maybe it would be a good idea to get outside help if the state of your mind isn't great. Hope you can stay sober longer than 3 days this time.

Sober up, you might have a job tomorrow. If not, sober up you might be looking for a job tomorrow. Either way you'll be better sober.

I'm gonna die too, but hopefully in about 60 years. Please see a Dr. and get some help, life may seem hopeless now, but life no matter how bad you think it might be is better than the alternative.

Please get some help. I have had alot of bad things happen in my life, but things will and do get better. Today is not your day, but stick around and see how it turns out.

Well whatever you do take care of yourself, and come around this forum more often. It has a way of brightening my day. I'm guessing a trip to amsterdam might not be a wise choice today. If nothing else comes through for you stick on the forum. There are alot of people here who can relate to what you are going through. If I were you I would try to see a doc or maybe go to a meeting or a church. Not always my favorite things, but sometimes just getting around good people can help when I am in a crappy mood.

Maybe you can talk to your employer, get permission to be evaluated and get into a 30 day treatment program. It takes more than a detox sometimes deal with our addiction......

I wish I was closed enough to come over but I'm not. Yes we are all going to die but you don't want to go this way...for a whole host of reasons. Make a call...get some help...do whatever it takes...your life is important.

thanks all...nothing really changed today. the work stuff is working on figuring it out. my stuff went back to normal, another day with alcohol.
kinda waiting on the oppisition to make thier move first. my game plan is to quit. how it goes down is a wait and see.

Don't wait and see, man - just do it. See a Dr and do whatever you have to do - but quit today.
