Mission accomplished
In one of my first posts I told you guys that I hadn't been able to stay sober for more than 10 days in 5+ years. I thought that today was day 11, but in fact it is day 12! Looks like I'm no longer counting the hours.
My brain is stil not quite sure what's happening to it, but my stomach seems to have forgiven me and is back to doing what it's supposed to do, which is digesting things.
Now on to the next goal, which is to go see one of my favorite bands without being blindingly drunk. That will be happening next Saturday I believe, and it'll be the first time I've seen a show sober since I was old enough to get hold of alcohol.
Thanks to everyone for your support!

Congrats on the 12 days, and I'm happy to hear that your digestive system has settled it's strike.
I hope your concert won't be with a bunch of people who are drinking and getting high. That might be a little much only a couple of weeks in. I can tell you that it felt pretty odd going to my first concert, straight. I've been to several now, though, and lemme tell ya, it is GREAT to be able to really appreciate the music, and to remember it afterward. I have VERY little memory of the only time I ever saw the Grateful Dead. And it's a shame, because I will never get another chance to see them.

@LexieCat - I'm thinking about going to the show by myself, actually. There is NO WAY I'm going to miss this, but being around my friends would probably really bother me right now because they all drink and I haven't told anyone I've quit. The bar itself won't bother me. I can see the freakin beer store from my deck and I've managed to stay away from that!
