when the phrase "one day at a time" seems too tough, start thinking "one hour at a time" or even "one moment at a time". That makes me feel a bit better when my days are going like yours is going

Hang in there. You arent alone. I am new here but I find that just reading posts is very helpful in tough times.

Golden, I used to just grab my butt with both hands and hang on, it WILL pass. I'll be thinking of ya. Check back in as often as you like.

Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time. What about seeing a doctor? I know it's hard to reach out, especially when you're at your lowest point, but it would be the best thing you could do for yourself......

Sending prayers and hugs - I hope you can get through this because it really does get better.......:ghug3

Yep, I used the same approach.

Sometimes it was just making it through the next 15 minutes and repeating as necessary.

I felt EXACTLY like that until I had my very last drink and started the meds my doc prescribed. Since then I've only had to handle the drinking urges, not the nasty emotional rollercoaster. I also just had a very positive first AA experience, and am starting to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel...

Breathe. Be kind to yourself. And, keep coming back.
