30 days on Sunday

I just celebrated 30 days sober on Sunday. AA has helped a lot. I do not have a sponsor or a group yet but just going to the meetings and listening and sharing helps. Humility is really important. Going to meetings keeps me humble and realistic about this. I am terrified to drink again. It could cost me my family or even eventually my life.

For those of you having a hard time staying sober I really encourage you to try AA. Don't be embarassed - just get honest with yourself and get the help.

Yes, I was terrified of losing everything too and that really helped me in the early days.

Congratulations on your 30 days!

Absolutely...I've been twice and really enjoyed it! My rehab falls on the same night but will resume when I'm done rehab.
One key is to swallow your pride. I've don't that so many times I'm just about choking. But you do what you have to do...man up and get there!!

Oh and congrats on the 30 days.
40 today for me...gawd, but how time flies when your sober!

Congratulations on your 30 days. I have often heard it said (and agree with) that the 30 days are the hardest. Good luck on the rest of your recovery journey.
