Fell off the wagon. PLEASE help me back on..

Hi guys,
haven't been on for few days as listened to the poison voice & have got lashed for last 3 nights after almost 2 weeks sober. I DON'T want to drink anymore. I heard someone say years ago that ' God doesn't make junk' & have wondered ever since why He made exception for me. Have SO MUCH to live for but are they all better off without me??
This may well be the end of my rope - over the weeks I genuinely believe you are all GOOD PEOPLE. PLEASE help me. Is it worth the fight? Am I worth saving? Have felt SO GOOD & SO BAD over last few weeks. Better than zombie-like acceptance I s'pose??

Yes, it's worth the fight!!!!!! I fought for it so many times, across years really. And you are not junk—you just feel that way because of your alcoholism. It's the problem—you are the solution!

I think you need to be mindful that there are huge highs and lows early on; don't get so caught up in the highs that you're not braced for the lows. Just my two cents. And my best tool of all is gratitude. Even on Day 1, when I felt like I had very little to be grateful for, I realized I should be grateful just for having another chance at freedom and peace.

You can do it—and you are worth it!

I've been told it's completely normal to have our emotions all over the board, Rebel. It makes sense, really. We've been damaging our brains for a long time, of course it's going to react in funny ways. I've been up, down, up, down, up, down for almost 30 days now. I'm working hard to keep the faith that it'll get better down the road and that my emotional health will improve right behind my phyiscal health.
You can do it and you are worth saving. It's always worth the fight. Always. You know you can do it, you just have a solid two weeks! So jump back into this thing called sober living and give it all you've got.

Best of luck

YOU ARE WORTH SAVING! What ever gave you the thought otherwise? Don't let alcohol do the thinking for you. We're all rooting for you!

Pick yourself up.

Dust yourself off.

Put one foot in front of the other.

Rebel, we are all better off with you here, you included! As for the rollercoaster, if not everyone here, then pretty much, has been on that ride. Talk to your doctor, or even better an addiction specialist (doctor) about that - help is there to get you through it. I was almost beside myself last week and am now feeling a LOT better.

Have you tried AA?
It's really given me a new outlook on
how to live sober and enjoy it..

You can also find others there who understand
and can offer you much support.

Welcome back...

Hi! I fell too after 10 days sober but now I'm back again trying to live a sober life(3 days sober) and I'm extending a hand so you can join me too! God wants us to try, and he can't give us the blessing of recovery if we give up trying! Remember that you're only human and that it's ok! God loves you very much and you are right, He doesn't make junk...EVER! Just dust your dear self off and try again! We're behind you 100%!
