Chips
My sober date is 2/13/11 but didn't pick up white chip that day. From some pressure from a friend in the program I picked up a White Chip this past Wednesday. Can I still pick up a 30 day chip on the 13th of this month? I feel a little discourage at the thought of having to wait..

You can pick up your one-month chip on your one-month date of sobriety...no need to wait! THat's what I've been told by my sponsor, at any rate.
ETA: Yes, the first day you didn't drink is your sobriety date.

ABSOLUTELY pick up your chip!! Clean date and sober time are from date to date - not how days are in the month. My markers will always be on the 15th.

I don't quite understand the question? If you are 30 days sober then pick up a 30 day chip? Is it because you think you have to wait 30 days from the day you picked up your 24 hour chip because this is not the case:-)
Funnily enough we have a guy coming out of prison on Thursday and i guarantee, knowing him, he will be picking up a few chips lol

You get your 30-day chip after 30 days sober.
I celebrate my anniversary on the day of my last drink; some people do that and some count from their first day sober. Either one is OK--whichever is more meaningful to you.

IMO it is a sober coin for a reason so I picked the 1st day I was completly sober & clean and it happened to be on the 13th which is so cool cause I love that number its so much easier to pick a date than to keep couting each day in the month, cause after you get some time it would be a pain-in-the-a** Any day sober is a miracle we are all miracles.
