Hi all
Hi all,
My name is Rod and im an alcoholic! I am 35 yo, male and my claim to self destructive obession with Alcohol began 17 years ago, and although i denied i had a drinking problem all those years ago, i always did. Benders, 2,3,4 day heavy binge drinking ,with all as you are well aware of the aftermaths of blackouts, hangovers, anxiety, embarrasment just to name a few. Id wake up on a Saturday morning and start drinking agin, till i was so wasted i couldnt remember what ive done.
But in some ways im am lucky to be at my age and relatively fit guy into the gym, with a strong will. But one thing is Alcohol is one tough son of a bitch that i hope to concur, once and for all. So i look foward to sharing and reading on this forum.
Thanks

Welcome, Rod, and thanks for joining us! This site is an amazing place with lots of wonderful people who have tons of experience and support to share with you. I'm glad you're here.
There are those of us who have had some success dealing with our obsession with alcohol, and we use lots of different tools. My advice to you is to find someone who seems to have what you're looking for, ask them how they got there, and follow their advice. When you're trying to get somewhere, there's nothing like following someone who has gone there before you.
Again, I'm thankful you're here, and I hope you have an awesome day!
