Thumbs up Recovery gets the Grammy

Eminem got the Grammy for recovery, which is kinda cool. Did anyone notice the AA necklace he was wearing when he accepted the award?

I missed the Grammy's, but saw another post on it, here, and went to check out the video.

Seems to me he's walking the walk, and talking the talk, and I pray that people think about what he's saying in his songs.

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

I didn't notice the necklace! I mean I noticed A necklace.. but didn't put it together. awesome. That album has been the soundtrack of my own recovery. Corny as that is.

I wouldn't know an Eminem song if I heard it. I guess I should start downloading. Time to broaden my horizons beyond Led Zeppelin?

LOL...

To be honest, I usually listen to other genres of music... but many people dig his music and he speaks to them... so if he's talking recovery and living according to certain spiritual principles... then he has my support...

Actually, I burned a copy of Recovery into my iTunes recently... guess I am gonna have to listen to it soon, huh?

I think that is pretty cool, but...

I tried to listen to this cd and it was just too full of resentments for me. It sounded like a lot of problem and not much solution.

...but that's just me.

Didn't watch, hate award shows! Glad he won, love the CD. Just looked at some pics and saw the necklace. Way to go, Em!

I have loved that man since I was 17 when his first album came out. I was a little teen tweeker singing along to all the druggie crap he rapped about. I know every word to every song have seen 8 Mile like a million times and now I am 9 months clean his music touches me even deeper- Legend. Saw the necklace, what a guy. Slim is the BEST! I feel like our journeys have been similar in the most important of ways while we remain so completely different, that's the fellowship of recovery for you. Thanks for posting Mark
