First click the "Post Reply" button. You can't upload using the "Quick Reply" box that automatically appears at the bottom of the page.
Then look for the "Attach Files" section underneath the box. It's below the "Miscellaneous Options" and above the "Upload your Images to ImageShack" part. Click the "Manage Attachments" button.
You'll get an option to Browse your computer for a file, or upload from a URL, and a list of the allowed file sizes (and in some cases, allowable widths) for each file type.
As long as your image fits the limits for the file type, when you pick your picture and "Upload" it will attach it. You can then click "Close this Window," and when you post the picture will show at the bottom.
Only one attached photo is allowed per post.

or, click on the yellow box above the area where you type. It looks like a small mountain picture. It is a couple of icons to the right of the little globe icon.
When you click on this, it opens a dialogue box where you cut and paste your picture. The file has to be an image file, hosted on a computer somewhere. This is what I use most of the time. It will then insert the web page hosting the picture with the proper message board code. When you find an image you want to post on a website, you can usually right click on the image and then "copy image location". This puts on your clip board. Just paste it in normally with a right click or a cntrl+v command.
If you are trying to upload a photo from your computer, do as described above by clicking on the paperclip icon.
