Day 9 and Feeling Strong
Hey everybody
Well It's been 9 days since my last drink and I am feeling pretty strong. I rejoined this awesome forum on day 6 and I have found the support here since then pretty great.
I think I decided to stop drinking this time because the people around me were slowly noticing and making comments about my drinking habits. I'm going to hope and pray daily that I get better and stay better.
Gotta say it again, you guys and girls are awesome

Congratulations on your clean time Maggot. During my using I became increasingly conscious of how people percieved me. In one word I was just 'paranoid' but this paranoia was the truth. I knew what I had become and although I think I took the wrong route when trying to end my addiction (I tried to end my life) I believe that peoples perceptions of me did actually help me into recovery. It's not a brilliant thought that you are known around town as a complete cocaine fiend. I wish you the best of luck in your recovery and urge you take it just one day at a time. Slow and steady wins the race.
