My personal little milestone.
My personal little milestone.
Sounds silly but I didn't even realize yesterday was day 90 for me sober!!
For some reason, 90 days drink free seems like a milestone to me!
Maybe the whole 90 day chip I hear they give out in AA, so 90 is like a big deal.(in my head)
I've been feeling real down for some days now (one of which I wanted to drink badly) but being here...at 90(1) days has lifted my spirits!
I also take some comfort in knowing that I'm not counting the days daily.
Its reassurance that alcohol isn't what it used to be for me. That being sober isn't something I have to do but something that just is!
Sometimes I do have my weak moments, but thats ok as long as I keep my head straight. But most days now...I dont find myself thinking about alcohol in a way that makes sobriety hard for me.
I couldn't even imagine a month before...but now, knowing day 100 is only 9 days away, seems like a walk in the park!
Thanks to SR and its members for making sobriety a little easier!!

Thank you all so much!!
Like I've said before...
This forum and its members are my 'Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul!'
Another little milestone...I've been more open about my not drinking anymore to friends and family.
Surprisingly...alot of "that's great" and "good for you!"
When asked why, I simply just told them because I want to live a healthy life.
Not too much detail..but they didn't ask for more.
Maybe because they see I've already lost about 15 lbs!!
My confidence is growing and I have more pep in my step!
I'm getting back to "Me"...
And every little stepping stone helps...
Thanks again,
Simply...
