Useful Reading " Under the influence and Beyond the influence "
Friends,
Based on suggestions , I came across at SR , I purchased and read both " Under the influence " and " Beyond the Influence " Books.
After reading the book, I realize that if I would have come across SR and these books, 6 years ago, the things might have been lot different for me.
Any way, as always, better late than never. I am really feeling much more peaceful . A regular one browsing at SR and these books are helping to stay on Course.
I would recommend these books for many newcomers as well as old timers. WORTH PAYING PRICE which is less than one round of drinks !!!!

"under the influence" was the first book I purchased in my sobriety (recommended here @ SR)
likewise I would suggest getting it.
now I have a several in a tote I carry with me in my truck everywhere I go. Never know when I will need them....or better yet, when I will run into someone who will need them, and be able to share with someone else.
my BB, 12/12,daily reflections, and as bill sees it. along with a daily meditation reading book.
Especially since I am still new in my sobriety.........I never want to be too far from my "tools" I have been given.

We have excerpts from "Under The Influence" as a sticky
post in our Alcoholism Forum...
http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...influence.html
It's still my favorite "handbook" on alcoholism...
While not everything applied to me....it certainly was
vital to my recovery.
I give a copy to all my new AA sponsees.
