Celebrity Alcoholism Triggar

Hi,

I just read a tabloid article on AOL entertainment news about Jesse James (an admitted alcoholic) getting married to Kat Von something the tattoo artist. He has been split for 7 months from his wife according to the article. There are all kinds of digs to his ex in the article about how his new bride to be is the most wonderful person in the world.

This has triggared me because that is what my alcoholic ex did as well.

I do not attempt to understand A's, but what gives. Why flaunt the new woman when HE cheated and betrayed the wife he already had and promised to love and cherish forever. Such a short time later he is with the ONE? Seriously?

I know this stuff is garbage, but do they play from the same playbook? Insights please.

He's a total creep. Even before the divorce, etc I got major creep vibes from him.

Ugh - if there was anyone on this earth who needs to be held down and scrubbed with carbolic soap and a stiff wire brush, its Jesse James.

But I will say this - if anyone is the epitome of how to handle life after an addict, it is Sandra Bullock. Of course, having buckets of money helps, but she has been a class act all the way.

Hi Miss, I hope all the best for you in this new year.

I say good for the ex wife that got rid of him.

I do not know Jesse James so can't comment on him, but I would like to share I am triggered by the series "Two and a half men". How they show the alcoholic as some sort of fun winner and the way they depict women. Perhaps that is why I prefer to hide in my own books and SR and similar people in a different wavelength.... perhaps AOL is similar to *****!, *****! Mexico frontpage sucks and they have articles such as "why women shouldn't show their tears to men" and even worse stuff not worth reading and "love triangles" of course always about two women "fighting" for a loser.

Take a deep breath

I didn't know Sandra Bullock went through that, I like her. I also like Kendra the playmate! she went through alcohol and drugs and self hate and she is a different person now with her husband and baby...

He (Jesse James) has been ragged and tagged as a total idiot creep in the regular entertainment news.
I am surprised about Kat Von D marrying him, unless it was for publicity.
He is a fool, and addicted to sex.

Beth
Also triggered by cheating flaunting ex husbands.

Sandra Bullock hjas always been a favorite of mine
just because she has that personal relatability.
When all tha tother came out -

I realized that she's SO MUCH like us ... LOL

She's nothing but better off.

I admire her even more now.

She's doing exactly what you do when that stuff spews all over you -
she's busy in her own life.
busy with her own career
and says nothing to or about those
who are still mired in their ... dookie drama.

She's above it (publicly)
beyond it (devoted to her adopted kid)

and an inspiration.

Thanks for the responses.

I guess the idea and reality of flaunting the new relationship is what bugs me most. I look at it like, didn't they do enough horrible things/cause enough pain/drama and chaos? Why highlight a new love. I guess it is that selfish mindset coming backinto play. Me, me, me. I want... Look at me... Many of us matured beyond that behavior by the end of kindergarten.

I admire SB too. It has been surprising yet cathartic in a way to see that no matter what station we are in life alcohol, dysfunction, cheating and addiction can affect us.

These women on the top of their game have these deadbeat low life husbands who hurt them. I felt humilated, insecure and couldn't believe it when it happened to me. I thought I was a good catch and didn't need to worry about that stuff. These wealthy and successful women have it happen to them too. I imagine they felt like I did.

It seems like the quick in and out of relationships is somehow linked to addiction. Like they need and anxiety release or new drug to pursue.

Miss, my therapist says it is because they are looking for Mommy. Nothing to do with growing up, sharing... much less happiness.

So Sandy is available now and lives right up the road? And she is attracted to alcoholics? And is nursing her wounds/needs saving? Wonder if she's ever been with an older man?

That's a mighty attractive situation to a codie man!

Damn, if I had a job I could woo her by buying her a car.

Hey, don't laugh, that's how I got those first two wives.

Thanks and God bless us all,
Coyote

Well if she is a fix 'em up codie attracted to alcoholics - sit back and relax. Say a few nice things, smile, and look a little wounded. You'll get the girl and she'll buy you the car.

Ask me how I know.

Oh good, I'm not crazy. I thought I was the only one that couldn't tolerate Two and a half men anymore.

While Sandra was probably devastated at first by the ex's infidelity, she is probably glad to be moving on...done so in class and style and with a new baby to love and look after.

If I were Sandra, I'd like to say to Kat Thing-u-my-jiggy...."He's all yours now....", addictions, issues and all. Sandra came out the winner here, holding her head up and getting on with her life....one of the few actresses I have some respect for......

Sandra Bullock has more class in her little finger than Jesse James could ever hope for.

In a way I feel sorry for Kat because she is so much younger, and I have no doubt she is clueless about the insanity she's inviting into her life.

Considering she's had her own alcohol issues, it's a marriage of opportunity, just like it was for me and my EXAH.

Freedom,

What do you mean by a marriage of opportunity?
