The very *worst* thing you can do is go away VC.

Get some rest, come back tomorrow, roll your sleeves up - and tackle this thing.

We've all been there - I've been there - we can philosophise and beat ourselves up until the cows come home...but it doesn't really do us any good.

Actions the key VC - it's like getting in the pool...if you dither you may never do it...just dive in.

I know you can make tomorrow day one

You're not alone in this. We understand. Don't push the helping hands away.

D

Don't go away VC, you are not bringing us down.
Most of us have been there and back, many times.
You hang in there my friend.
You've done it before and I know you can do it again.
Tomorrow is another day.
We will be here for you.

If you suck, we've all sucked. I know I've sucked, long and hard, for years on end, decades even. But at 70 days alcohol free, I'm sucking less now. Let's suck less together!

I used to think I'd never 'make it', but I did. You can too. Don't give up on yourself.

You think you're so powerful that you are going to bring the rest of us "down"? Not likely.

Feeling beaten up and defeated is where most of us had to be before we could just give up the fight.

Just. Give. Up.

Have you considered AA? If not (or even if you have) this might be a good time...

Hey VC. It's kind of a trite old saying, but today is the first day of the rest of your life. That makes it a good day to begin a better life.

Keep reading around the forum. You'll see that we have all been in a situation similar to yours. You can change things! I'm glad you came back this morning.

vC, here's what I am trying this week: give it up to God (or whatever HP you like). Ask for help staying sober today. We can't do this alone, and that is OK.

Hey VC,

Glad you came back this morning.

As Dee said, it's about 'action'. So what can you do today to stay sober?

We are here for you.

I learned that I couldn't
stay sober by doing it
myself. I had to learn
by listening and following
suggestions by many that
have stayed sober before
me.

If they can stay sober a day
at a time then so could I.

I realized that then and
still do today that I never
have to go thru anything
by myself again.

The fellowship and support
of others traveling the same
road of recovery as I makes
staying sober a better fun
way of life.

Glad your here.
