last night was my first divorce/seperation/widow support group meeting, it was held in a church hall.
I met some very nice people who gave more knowledge with the divorce process and they were all about my age.
I was proud I finally went and I even talked about my situation. I was told
by the group that I was doing very well and seemed in control and very strong. I didnt even cry.
It took me awhile to attend as I had to work through some difficulties and emotions and to come to terms with what is happening.
Last night I found the courage to go.
they all went out for pizza/drinks afterwards but I just wasnt quite ready to do that, they also have social get togethers as well.
I met a few ladies from my town and we chatted afterwards and it was fun
talking about people we know and things we enjoy doing.
I want to thank each and everyone of you for giving me the strength and
support in getting to this point in my journey.
As hard as it has been for me, and knowing it will continue to be hard,I want you all to know that in time with support you can through it. one day at a time is so true
