Today I realized, after hanging out with all you folks on SoberRecovery for the last 3 weeks, I have lost_my_will_ to_Face_Book! Thank you for rescuing me, haha!

This place is so much more interesting though. All I see on Facebook these days is "I'm eating tuna fish for dinner" or "I'm folding laundry." My real life friends are boring old farts, this place is where the action is.

I don't even have a Facebook. Some of my friends tell me I should get on but I figure its a problem just waiting to happen. I'd rather keep Facebook as one of my "yets". They tell me its cool cause I could keep in touch with people from the past, high-school etc. I just say if I wanted to keep in touch with those people I'd have their phone numbers. Everyone I want to keep in touch with is in my phones contacts and I too prefer using SR as my social networking.

Sorry...I am an early convert to fb and consider it an essential part of my life both personally and professionally. I go through FB withdrawals if I'm too long without it...however I think the same goes for SR as well

Facebook has convinced me that imagination is often far superior to reality. I no longer have to wonder what happened to old boyfriends...and it's usually not pretty! Better to keep a little mystery in life, I think.
