Today is Another Day 1

HI all, I'm new here and hope that this is my final Day 1. I'm still not sure why its so hard to stop, but I need to do it for myself and especially to give my gorgeous almost 4yr old son his Mummy back!
I went to my 5th AA meeting tonight and think I finally heard some things that resonated. I even tipped out the wine that was in the house today. Its hard, its the evening and I'm alone at home and am craving a drink. But at the same time know I REALLY CAN NOT KEEP DOING THIS.
Wish me well.

Welcome Manz

Coming ehre and plugging into the great support I found here really helped me to turn things around.

I hope we can do the same for you

You ever thought of using drugs that would make you sick if you start drinking? It will help you to stop drinking those first 30 days.

Hi Manz

Glad to see you back here again today and well done on day 1.

Just take it one day at a time. Keep coming back and keep an open mind. Things will become clearer as your head clears.

Good luck and I hope you stick with the meetings.
If you don't already have a sponsor, consider it.
Get some numbers so you can begin calling someone to help get through those rough spots.

Hey Manz, Dumping the wine and going to AA meetings are a great start to recovering. If you aren't doing it already, get to know some of the people in AA and have some one on one conversations.

You will see that you aren't alone, and you will meet some interesting people. Best wishes.

Glad you're starting over again. Hope this is the last time you have to start over.
