S.A.D. - Seasonal Affective Disorder

Just wanted to share a link to an article on CNN this morning about SAD. I've noticed a number of people who have talked about depression and fatigue that started with the advent of winter. We have enough on our plates to deal with without having to deal with this, so if you think you might be suffering from this, please read this article and discuss with your doctor.

Thanks for the link! A couple years ago I complained to my doctor about having no energy one winter. She ran a blood test and confirmed that I had a bad vitamin D deficiency, then gave me a recommendation on the dose I should be taking. It has helped me a lot. I start taking the supplement in October, and then stop around April when the days are longer and I can get out in the sunshine more.

I use a philips blu lite everymorning and eat plenty of vit D rich foods, of course I also get outside for the uv too.

This year has been much better than previous years.
