My Christmas Wish to All of You...
Merry Christmas all...
To the Newcomers....
It was just over a couple of years ago, I was going into the holidays sober for the first time in many years. I was afraid, bitter, resentful yet tenuously hopeful for the new year. It was a crazy time, I was so uncertain...
But I found I don't need certainty, just purpose.
For those of us who have chosen a spiritual path, and are just starting out, be certain of only one thing... that He, your higher power, God, or whomever or whatever you call Him... be certain that He is love... If we can do that, trust that we are loved... then we have all the certainty we need to go forward... to put aside our pesky little doubts.... and they are little, compared to the enormity of His love and power.
For those uncertain or doubtful of a spiritual path, know that there must be some reason why you are here... even if it's just random evolution and events... find your own purpose.... Look to all of us, the billions of other faces in this world on this journey with you... there is a purpose, a reason... even if it is scary... don't look back... Stay clean and sober so you can be all that you are!
As I get more experience getting outside of self, and it is most certainly progress and not perfection, I reap the rewards... You can too.

Mark - thank you for the encouragement I know you gave to our newcomers. I feel the same. I hope anyone who is struggling with their decision to quit will understand that they can have a whole new life without living in a fog, desperate and miserable.
