First NYE chat party

Hi everyone in F&F,

Since we have our own chat room, I would like to suggest/host F&F members who wish to join me in the alano room for New Year's Eve to come on in!

Last year was my first NYE at SR and that night many people spoke through the threads to one anyone and kept company through midnight. For me, having someone who I never met stay with me all evening and be there for a hug at midnight was amazing!

So for those who want have fun, laugh and cry (happy tears or not) with company join us in the alano room found in chat.

Come celebrate a healthy new beginning.

I'd like that! My New Year is much earlier than everyone else's but I'll drop in and say Hi if anyone is around at that time.

I'm not sure if my home group is having a little get-together for NYE or not, but if they don't, I'll be around and drop in!

Y'all will be asleep by the time New Year hits my neck of the woods, but it's a great idea!

I know that this site is international therefore if you let me know what your midnight time is... I will try to be there. I expect to be available early Friday through the day and evening EST time.

I know I will miss some of you and wish everyone the better of a New Year!

You know, that means I can celebrate someone's new year in the afternoon! I don't have to stay up till its midnight here! I'm getting old and my bed may well call to me before New Year...

I'm on GMT

me too BW! I have turned down NYE invitations because to be honest, it's not really my favorite night out, I'll have both kids to look after in an unfamiliar, not necessarily toddler friendly house, which ups my anxiety, and stops me enjoying the company. Getting too and from anywhere is a pain in this weather, and a babysitter is a financial/organisational impossibility.

But I don't want to watch the terrible television on NYE, so I'm going to rent a film, read a book and celebrate by getting some well deserved shut-eye before midnight. I'll pop in here too if I can work out how to "chat"!

I will be sending you good vibes from new year in CDT... not sure if I will be on or not, seemingly I may be socializing with the "European community" but if things don't quite click I'll leave early!

Every day is a new beginning

Can't see RABF being awake anywhere near midnight, and without a carton of VB to get him "going" as party boy, he is just a Grumpy ol man from halfway thru Dec til end of the holiday season.

Down under cops the new year real early, as we are 10 hours ahead of UK and 18 ahead of USA west coast. So I could be saying Happy New Year as Californians here are peering in their fridge to see what's for breakfast.

I may just log in during the day, and hope for the best.
