No Baily's for breakfast

10AM EST right now. Just hopped out of bed finished me prayers went to the kitchen where my family was at. They had the bottle of Baily's out - pouring it into their coffees. I actually gazed at their cups and the Baily's bottle for a few seconds before I had to shake off the stair. In that stair this is what went through my head: You didn't get your checks in the mail yesterday - you have no money - your life is going to be hard - pour yourself a cup of special coffee.

My mind tricks me!

Wow, glad I never had to deal with that in my recovery. If it was me, I'd try to get out of the house and find some sober people to hang with. Even if you just go window shopping or something.

I wouldn't have stayed in the room, or the house, for that matter. I'd have been gone!

I'm glad you got through it, though.

Did you move back home? I thought you had moved across the country? Congrats on your sober time

I am locked away in my bedroom with my laptop, SR, cat. Sobriety is my priority.

I did move across the coutry and my mother and grandmother moved with me. We live together for now. My mothers boyfriend is in town from California, hence the AM partying.

Not normally, but her bf is only here until tommorrow then he flys back to California - then it's back to the three of us - sober living. I was lucky that my mother and grandmother decided to move such a distance with me.

I reallly do need my own place tho - and I know that. I am trying not to feel bad about living with them at my age! HA.

And just to fill in the rest of the circle - the 3 of us were at the persons house Thanksgiving (relapse day for me) but it still wasn't enough to keep me sober I was still very uncomfortable.

Just watch out for the cat, don't let him/her tempt you with any of that catnip stuff. You don't know what remorse is until you wake up tangled in string with a mouth full of fur

Congratulations on 15 days!! Wow cannot imagine that scenario. Well, now I can't being sober. It would have been very tempting for me back in the day. I give you a lot of credit. I couldn't see liquor for months. Keep posting and stay strong. My best to you!
