Introduction/I'm a newcomer to SR
Hi, my name is Tara and I am new to SR. I have been a member of a Co-Anon email meeting for several years. My Brother and Ex-Finace are both addicts. They both just got out of prison within the last week, they are both at halfway houses now and they both affect my sanity in different ways. My XAB has been gone for almost 5 years, and can you believe it I still struggle on weather or not his life will be changed forever and if I should take him back in my life. My Brother on the other hand will always be in my life no matter what, I just have to keep learning how not to enable him. The last several years that they both have been gone my life has been pretty peaceful. However, the time is going to come in a few months where they will both be back in town, at the same time no less (double whammy) and I will have to do what I need to do to keep myself sane, and not damage the progress that I have made. Thank you for listening and I look forward to beign able to reply to posts and encourage whenever I can....
Thank you so much. I have looked around and posted a few times already today. I have the biggest smile on my face right now for being led here. I am looking forward to making friends and making more progress.....
MissTara
Welcome to SR.....I'm glad you found us.
I hope you are able to hold onto the peace you have had for the last few years since the two addicts in your life have been behind bars.
We'll look forward to your posts and ESH.
gentle hugs
