Thirty Thank Yous
Today is day 30. I want to send thank yous to all of you at SR for being my support group. You have all been so encouraging and thoughtful. You are truly a blessing!
Here is a short list of how my life has changed over the last 30 days:
1. I no longer have bottles of Advil and Tylenol in my car, office, bedroom, and every jacket I own.
2. I no longer lie to my friends and business partners about where I was and what I was doing.
3. I don't associate with people whose first love is the bottle.
4. My self-loathing is being replaced with a more realistic assessment of my strengths and weaknesses.
Again, thank you. I still haven't told others about my drinking problem. But one step at a time, right?

Congrats on your thirty days sober!! My thanks is in reading success stories like yours. It gives me hope for others in finding their way to a happy healthy life.
(I too love waking up in the mornings not hating myself!)
