good time to try again

Its been a awhile since I have been here, but I think its time to put some work into not drinking. I have just been lazy lately and not putting any work to staying sober. So today is a new day and off I go.

Welcome Back!
Most of us do not get this the first time. Do you plan on doing anything different this time? Having a recovery plan can help avoid falling into the same trap again. Let us know how you are doing.

Right now my plan is pissed off at husband pretty much told me I was a drunk and fat and he has no room to talk. He drinks like a fish and has a beer gut, but I guess he thinks he drinks less then me!!!!OH thats right I am not drinking tonight, but he is and oh he is kisssing my butt. I dont have time for bull$%&# I need to worry about ME. I will have to work on plan.

Gettng angry at your husband is probably not the best use of your energy.

If you think AA may work for you, do find another group.

There are a range of other groups out there too, and a variety of counselling, options right up to inpatient and outpatient rehab programmes...

you just have to make the first move, fighttowin

ftw...I am glad you are back and making today your Day1. While I see you don't have a plan in place I do urge you to take the energy focused on your spouse and apply it towards your recovery. I found getting face to face support along with SR to be tremendous. Just quitting for me wasn't enough and I also found that taking my frustration out on others wasn't very productive.

You have our support and I hope that you look into doing something different this time. There is a better way and I know you can do this!!
