Is this real? 11 months today!
Hey everyone!
I am in-and-out, as usual... still reading the forums all the time, basically every day, but it's usually crammed into my daily commute and thus much harder to find time to post... in fact it's just about 1am now on a Monday morning as I type this - fancy that!
Anywhos I have been drafting up some reflections on sobriety for a little while now and I plan on sharing them when I hit the big one year. But first up, today (well, yesterday by ~56 minutes!) is 11 months sober!!! Still in the game, still going strong.
As it happens, I timed this whole sobriety thing perfectly. My 'birthday' birthday (the day I 'became alive', was born, etc.) is 3 days after I hit 11 months... and my one year will be 3 days after Christmas... and this will repeat in this way every year for the rest of my life! Turns out, this is awesome! I have my gifts for myself for each year SORTED. One: gratitude for another x.11 months/x.years sober. Check. Two: a delicious Cherry Coca Cola to celebrate. Total cost: .99 cents (+sales tax when/where applicable) and a heck of a lot of gratitude for each and every day I am here on Earth.
Thank you SR!! You're there for me each and every day! I hope to have more time to participate more again as I did in my 'early days' soon... Uni has a way of sucking up what used to be known as free time...

Mate, that is awesome!! 11 months sober is fantastic!! I really loved reading your post!! Brought a smile to my face mate and it has been great sharing this journey with you.
I know for me then without my sobriety I would have nothing but another blackout to live for.

I too am awaiting your 'reflections on sobriety'. And big congrats and big hugs on your 11 months!!! 
Amazing, isn't it, how each sober day adds something new and wonderful to our lives. Congrats again!
