TOPIC: Recovery Allows You To Move On
Hi Im Sharon and I'm
an Alcoholic.
By the grace of my HP
and people like you here
in SR I havent found it
necessary to pick up a
drink of alcohol since
8-11-90.
For that and you I am
truely grateful.
Having a program of
recovery to work and
live everyday, it allows
you to grow, change and
move on in ur life.
To enjoy and appreciate
life and all that it gives.
It's amazing how after
I got sober 20 yrs ago
that I have and still go
thru changes in my life.
How looking back on
where I came from and
where I am today.
If not for a recovery
program, id still be a
miserable human being.
Still trying to fit my
square life in a round hole.
I went back to Houston
Saturday to pick up a
patio set I had in my
last marriage and won
on the radio yrs. ago.
During my drinking and
sober career I use to
win all sorts of things
on the radio.
I won a patio set while
living here in Baton Rouge
yrs. ago before relocating
to Houston for 10 yrs.
I went to pick it up Saturday
and have it with me back
where it belongs. Here in
Baton Rouge.
It's amazing how my ex
husband never got rid
of it and after the divorce
i never asked for it back
until recently.
He's in the process of
selling the house and
had a garage sale but
still has stuff to get rid
of.
I love my patio set and
when i asked if i could
have it back, i was told
come and get it.
It took us 5 hours there,
lunch and return the same
day to bring it home.
Anyway....
I am grateful for my
recovery because it
allowed me to move
on with my life ending
a 25 yr marriage. To
remarry to another
wonderful man and
enjoying life as should
be in a very sober way.
Has your recovery a
allowed you to moved
on in ur life?
