With sobriety anything is possible
Wow, how life has changed. Thirteen months ago I was in a closet with a bottle of rum and mouthwash. Today I am launching my own business because I have found something I love to do and I have the energy, focus and joy to do it.
For all of you who have hope, hold on to it because there is no reason to let go. Recovery does change your life because it changes you. When you see an old friend would you want them to say, "you haven't changed a bit"?

Good on you, stanley! I've noticed a little dropoff in my productivity and attitude here in months 6-7, but I'm committed to turning that around and focusing on my recovery and my future. Hopefully one day I'll be opening my own business; I know without alcohol in my life I can do anything. I hope things work out very well for you and your business!

I went through a low period in the middle of the summer and I think it had a lot to do with the fact that I had just finished two large tasks. I had moved in may and by July I had finished the landscaping that I wanted to complete. So I basically had been on the go and organized for six months and then everything was just done. I recognized the depression setting in and sought help immediately.
There is no ignorance when you are sober about what will make a bad situation worse. So I had to make the right choice and fight to continue with my recovery.
Be well
