If anyone would have told me a couple of years ago that I would be putting together a 'care' package for a boyfriend in rehab. I would have told them THEY were high. I have NO history of this in my immediate family. Would never have thought as a proper Catholic girl that I'd fall for a guy who had such 'vices'. Couldn't imagine myself falling for a man who has NO home, NO car and NO job.

I almost have to laugh when I read this!

Funny side note, a friend of mine is dating a guy who is an active coke head and drinker, really drop dead gorgeous guy. But when he is binging and using, she keeps her distance. One day we had this conversation:

Me: "do you ever worry that he'll meet someone else?"

Her: "No way! Who would want that loser?"

Me: "Uh you do."

Her : "Oh yeah huh"

Both of us: "Bwahahahaha!"

The good thing is that he is in rehab and will be for a lonnng time so I don't see us as in a true relationship at the moment. We have a past together so I probably am way more flexible than I would be had I just met him.

Im trying to stay as very good friend but he definately wants more and I have always had a soft spot for him through the years so.... I'm doomed.

I had this same thought about my ex husband. I had two children with him too.
But, I have someone else now. Sober, industrious, good looking and loves him some wicked!
