My pregnant girl friend?
Today a fellow member of the group therapy got a message- she is now hospitalized with a menace of abortion. She is 8 months.
It was too late when I realized, tomorrow the therapist and I are planning to visit her in the hospital. She has gone through so much prayers welcome for her and her baby girl

I was born 6 weeks early. (I am a grandma now, so medical technogoly has really advanced!) A little thing I was, and needed a stay in the incubator..so maybe the child is going to be an early surprise!

TC, Come to think of it...normal is anywhere from 2 weeks early to 2 weeks late..so she is really only a little premature!

TC, DO NOT PANIC.
My eldest grandson was 4 weeks early, he's now a strapping 12 year old.

There are babies born in hospitals here after only 26 weeks gestation, that's 14 weeks prem and with great medics and nursing, they survive and thrive.
There's a little one now in the humidicrib, having arrived at 24 weeks....that really is mind boggling.

Your friend and her babe have a very good chance of being together for a long time.

Whether you last out the distance is the question. Take a break Hon.

Thank you all. I talked to my friend today. She is out of the hospital and doing well, the baby has not been born yet. (Her name will be Ximena)

Will visit her during the weekend. She is doing fine Thank God. Thanks all for your prayers, she still asks about you, and I will translate your loving messages to her as she only speaks Spanish.

Your thoughtful posts have made us cry. Sometimes we both have felt very lonely in this city where women don't quite connect as much, means a lot to have the input from women with more experience. This is her first baby.

Thanks for caring for her as well and sending good vibes.
BTW, its her BDAY next Monday, so we are going to have cake.
