Hi Im Sharon and Im
the Alcoholic.

By the grace of my HP
and family who stepped
in with an intervention
20 yrs. ago, I havent
found it necessary to
pick up a drink of
alcohol since 8-11-90.

I have alot to be grateful
for today because they
stepped in at that time
in my life getting me help
I so desperately needed
to stay alive.

Over the years I have had
a recovery program and Faith
to guide me each day learning
to live happy joyous and
free without alcohol.

In the course of my recovery
journey I increasingly changed
for the better leaving my
family behind scratching
their head as to what happened
to me.

My husband at the time in
early recovery did attend
al-anon for maybe 2 meetings
learning one one...dettachment.

He figured that was all he
needed to have that would
constitute working a program.

Down the road we split apart
as I left him standing in the
dust.

I tried to wait for him
to catch up with me so
we could understand
each other, but it never
happened ending a 25 yr
marriage.

I had and wanted to take
care of me and wanted and
needed a partner beside me.

I know my part I played in
the marriage and fully understand
my addiction and affects it
had on the family.

However, with programs
offered to the partners of
the alcoholics is available
for the taking in order to
make a marriage stay alive
and well.

All I can say is...you snooze
u loose.

Ive moved on in my life
as I live and breath my
recovery program a day
at a time.

If you want to stay up
with me, then there is a
program available to u too.
