I am trying to put my higher power over a girl, but yesterday was just a terrible day for me. I went out with some AA people, and there was a girl that I have a crush on, a crush that has no basis other than she is pretty. I still have attraction to her and I am always trying to make her like me, this is the kind of actions that lead to drinking. I prayed all night to help me make God #1. I also that it is my sexual Instinct that is being triggered. It was just hell for 8 hours trying to get my heart to catch up with my brain. I will be better next time or this experience is lost. I did do a good job in staying sober and talking to my sponser. I love to have dramatic day when they aren't that dramatic. I guess this is what they say when I hear "I grew up in AA" I am a 29 year old teenager sometimes.

Good call in noticing the dangers and better call in telling someone about it. Look, we all have "thoughts" - it's not big deal really but early in your sobriety it's all too easy to put a person first in your life and, like you said, that's where trouble starts. For those of us for whom a spiritual solution is necessary to stay sober, we can ill afford to let anything block that connection for long.
