Is there anyone familiar with Naltrexone?

Hello everyone,

I would like to hear any experience with Naltrexone. I hope I spelled it correctly. I was looking in treatment plan for my AH and found a place called The Coleman Institute. Is there anyone out there with information on either?

Thank you

My exah was in Naltrexone briefly...it did not work well for him. I think my exah wanted a cure-all and Naltrexone isn't that...no med is. His level of opiate addiction was such that he needed some additional support; therefore, he is currently on suboxone...which is buprenorphine and naloxone; he says it works better for him. In my experience (& this is my opinion only), these maintenance meds work effectively in conjunction with a comprehensive program...meetings, sponsor, and a true, deep desire to be done with active drug use. There is no cure-all...even with meds, sobriety is hard, hard work.
