IT said to come in and introduce ourselves if we wanted to. I'm not new to AA, but recently came to the place I needed to get to and now believe that I need to stay sober.
I don't have a license, so I haven't been getting much exposure to other AA's and I thought I might find good support online. SO here I am.

I'm another AAer who no longer drives....what works for me
is to call people I know from meetings and ask for rides.
If one can't....I keep calling until I find someone.
I have given neighbors a couple of dollars to be
dropped off ...then got a ride back from members.
There is no public transportation available here.
When I lived in a city...I walked... took the bus or taxied.
Welcome to SR.....it's been a super resource for me
and can be for you too.....

THank you for the encouragement. I live in a really remote community, so the meetings are really sparse, but sometimes I can get a reliable ride.
It's nice to know that this community is out here.

Hi Rain - good to have you with us. We're all in the same boat, trying to stay sober and helping to support each other (and SR is open night and day!). I doubt I could stay sober on my own.
Glad you decided to get out from under the grip of alcohol. It's such a terrible and vicious cycle. Keep posting and reading!:ghug3
