I just joined and wanted to say hi to everyone . I have not had any alcohol since Sept. 18'th . Before that I went from Sept 10'th to the night of the 18'th but had a little over one beer with some friends so I did not have to tell them about quitting . I am not sure why I did not tell anyone but it just seemed easier
not to have to explain anything to them .
Anyway it will be a test of willpower this weekend but I will handle it . Good luck to everyone .

Welcome Leaves.
I'm also back after relapsing for 2 months. I've been telling people I'm allergic to alcohol, and can't drink because of it. I don't know if that's what your supposed to do, but it helps me get out of situations where I'm not comfortable outing myself about my alcoholism.

Welcome lleaves! Congrats on your sober time! I have been telling people I no inherent enjoy the taste of alcohol...which is oddly true...but I stopped liking the taste ages before I actually quit...lol.
