Two years without a drink...
...and going strong!
Two years ago today I walked away from alcohol and all the terrible things it was doing to my mind, my body, my soul, my relationships, my finances, my future, my dignity, my self-respect, and my LIFE!
Best choice I ever made, sometimes I cannot believe I've made it this far and changed so much in the past two years but it's absolutely true and as always I have SR and it's members to thank for being exactly the type of support & information system that I needed to be successful.
I'm not here as much as in the beginning but I still lurk/read a lot, post a bit, and will hopefully always consider this a safe place that I can still go to share in my struggles and in my triumphs, such as this two year anniversary.

I'm planning on doing just what you did - quit for good on the first try. There are quite a few people here on SR who've managed to pull it off, so I know it's more than possible. You're an inspiration, for everybody.
