Day 30 & peaceful
I finally made it to day 30!!! I'm happy and peaceful today. I have had much less of an urge to drink in the past few days.
I had intense urges for 4 weeks. I really wondered if it would ever get better. In the last few days, it's getting much easier to stay sober comfortably. So if you are struggling, it gets easier!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Way to go Oak!! 30 days is great! I remember reading everyone's posts saying "It will get better," and thinking "Yeah, for everyone else probably, but not for me...." how's that for alcoholic thinking?! Anyway, it really has gotten better and better and better..... Keep up the good work!:ghug3

That's awesome oak!!! I'm so happy for you - that's nothing to sneeze at. Takes alot of dedication, hard work and sticking with the plan you made. This place is such a big part of success in sobriety and a blessing.
I'm sure I speak for everyone here - i'm extremely thankful (beyond words) for whoever made this place.

nothing wrong with feeling peaceful and happy....it's what we all want (i think).
congrats on your first month...i hope the second month is easier (with more enlightenment).
For me, I have learned more about myself these last 7.5 months...i've been a lot more truthful to myself since i stopped hiding behind a wine bottle.

30 days is a big deal. You'll have many more "sober" milestones and how cool is that?!
It's been my experience that you'll also have many "low" points too and that is when having a solid program will be essential.
