Update/Chasing away the blues

Hi everybody,
I'm going to a wonderful juried craft show today, with my sister.
It's in Akron, and it has beautiful hand crafted items, and lots of good food.
And the weather is a little crisp, and the leaves are starting to fall, and that "Autumn" smell is in the air!

An update on son, Brandon.
As of yesterday, they are also charging him with manufacturing, along with selling, distribution, trafficking...He is saying he may get 15 years.

He is BEGGING for us to set bond. ($5000)
I am giving him encouragement that this is a blessing in disguise, but somehow he just ain't seeing that right now.
Sure is hard, hearing your 32 year old son crying.

And what are Mr. Moose and I doing?
We're praying.

And...as for the car...Mr. Mooses name isn't on the title.
We COULD go get it and have son sign power-of-attorney, but we're just too tired. And heaven knows it would cost even more, with the flight and all.
And we don't know the condition of the car to drive it back.
We will monthly pay off the loan of $4800.00, with a smile, cause son is hopefully, finally, maybe....at his bottom.

Maybe the bank would help us cut a deal if they know the story?
Anybody know?

Anyway...off to the craft show....going to buy some good stuff, and eat some good stuff!

hugs and hugs....

P.S. Oldest son, Casey, still working hard on his recovery, doing meetings, and working hard.

P.S. If any of you have a prayer list, please add Brandon, he's going to need alot of prayers.

Thank you all.......

Moose,

You and your boys are in my prayers, that their HP will put the right people and circumstances in their lives, so they can learn their lessons and have a rich and productive life.

The craft show sounds lovely. I hope you and your sis have a terrific time and find lots of those really fun hidden treasures.

Your recovery is shining, my friend. Isn't it wonderful to know you don't ever have to walk through these things alone?

Hugs and love

Good decision. I doubt the bank would do anything, but I'd certainly try. Maybe they'd cut the interest rate a bit? Have fun at the craft show.

Oh Moose, it sounds like he did it up good this time. I will certainly keep him in my prayers, and it's good to hear your other son's progress.

Hope you and Mr. Moose have a great time at the craft show!

Back from the Craft show, had a wonderful day, out to breakfast, and got a fantastic bargainat the craft show!
And came home to find a wonderful card of encouragement in the mail from a good friend. (u Know who you are...)

Both sons were out of my mind the entire day.
Tomorrow, I'm taking me shopping!

Hugs and hugs.......

Hi all,
Bad night.
Woke up off and on all night with thoughts of son and his troubles.
Did some recovery reading...didn't help my obsessive thoughts...darn..

Mr. Moose and I discussed going to Florida to be there for sons court date, whenever that comes up.

When it rains it pours.

Moose, if the bank takes back the car, it will probably send it to auction and the loan you have should be reduced by whatever they get at auction and their costs. It may not be much, but it's something.

Title doesn't matter, the bank will have a lien on the car. Unless the loan and the car ownership are entirely separate issues...arghh.

I am so glad you enjoyed your day, it's good for our recovery to just have fun doing something that will distract us from our obsession. Works for me most times too.

Both your boys are in my prayers, and we can only trust that Brandon's HP has got him covered.

Hugs and Love

Good morning Ann,
Yes, we can go get the car, but it's just not worth it.
The amount on the loan is $4800 and the car could maybe be sold for $2500, so really, why bother? Let them auction it.

My head just seems to be spinning this a.m.

Hugs and hugs...

Thumbs up

OH! This is important, and I forgot to add it.

This morning while making a cup of tea, I was looking at the change I spilled on the counter last evening, after returning from the craft show.
I save all my silver change in a piggy....

Anyway, I couldn't identify one of the quarters...which state is was from, maybe another country? I looked closer, and it's an ANGEL coin, and angel with a halo on both sides. brass, same size as a quarter........

I think it's a sign that God is listening, and says, "be still....I'm working...."

Maybe it is a good time to spoil yourself rotten today.

Grab the Serenity Prayer too, it helps me through the crazy days.

Big hugs to the Moosepeople.

You and your sons will be in my prayers.

I recently had to do something similar with my son's financial affairs. Several years ago, I co-signed on a line of credit and checking account for my son. In spite of his addiction, he was always quite responsible with money......until the addiction progressed. In the last few months, he ran the line of credit all the way up and, of course, wasn't paying it back. I had to pay the line of credit off ($1000) and close the checking account. I had to do this to protect my own credit--not to get my son off the hook. Money is tight and it hurt like heck to have to pay that off but wow.......what a lesson learned. Needless to say, I won't be co-signing on anything with him.....ever again.

Good for you for taking care of you and doing what you need to do to focus on your own life!

gentle hugs

Did you consider the possibility that perhaps you didn't find the coin...perhaps the coin found you?

I believe this is a sign, Moose, really I do. We get signs often if we are watching for them.

Carry that coin with you, for some reason it has attached itself to you so go with that and don't set it down.

Hugs from Angel Ann

Yep.

If that's not a sign from HP, I don't know what is.

I get these all the time, now that I've calmed down enough to notice, and I believe in these "God signs" 110%.

Mine usually come when I have some pressing problem that I can't figure out a solution to, then Bamm, a sign.

They have an immediate calming effect on me, similar to what I get when I walk into my Alanon meetings, and I've come to believe it's HP letting me know "every thing's going to be O.K.".

Thanks and God bless us all,
Coyote
