Ever notice when you haven't hugged or been hugged by someone else that when you do get there, the long wait suddenly becomes very apparent. You just don't know what you're missin' till it comes back to you!
Hugged my nephew yesterday. Don't know what it is, but he's got a great huggin' style. He started to pull away, but I didn't let go. He asked, "Auntie, are you okay?" I replied I was, but I wasn't done hugging. He resumed his hold on me and just said, "Okay, Auntie, keep me posted." LOL! I gave him an extra squeeze for that.
Very therapeutic indeed!

(((Maggie))) I'm a firm believer in hugs. My mom was always that way...never greeted anyone without a hug. When she got so sick that she had to retire from her job as Church secretary, they gave her a party and had a skit about her being "the happy hugger"...had a shirt made for her, and everything
When she died, the pastor was telling about how he would come in, all spiffy with a new shirt and tie, and he didn't WANT to be hugged, but mom would hug him anyway....he said he would always miss those hugs.
When I went into work, today, which has been pretty stressful, lately, a coworker came running up, yelling "AMY!!" and gave me a big hug. How could my day POSSIBLY be bad after a greeting like that?
((Cynical)) - never really thought about the BOB hug, but you're right...it IS a bit awkward
HUGS and prayers,
Amy
