Who stole my bags?
They're gone. I looked in the mirror this morning and those dark, puffy bags that were under my eyes are gone. I think someone slipped in while I was sleeping and took them. Well, that's ok, I had them long enough, time for some other poor soul to hang on to them.
Staying sober has plenty of rewards, and looking better is just one of them.
I feel much better too, so I've got ta keep at it.
Thanks for the help!

They're down at the store Dallas......they come disguised in Budweiser cans, vodka bottles, and bottles of wine.
Isn't that-a-B***.... you've got to pay GOOD MONEY to look like crap......and you did......and so did I.......for a LONG time!!!

You're right DT, all I've got to do is go buy a few drinks, then wham, look like crap again, feel like crap again, and worry about the meaning of life again.
One of the best things about feeling the way I do today is I don't have to worry about the meaning of life, what's my purpose, what am I doing here. Today it's enough just to enjoy life sober, go to a meeting, go to dinner and just be.
The hope I have today was a hard fight to get and it's available to all who are struggling today.
Hang in there.

Its awesome, isn't it??!!! I am so glad the puffy eyes are gone! I have watched about 10 years drop off my face, and even while drinking, people always told me I look younger than I am. I may be back in my 20's again! LOL
congrats and keep up the hard work!

Your right aehmnm, the fountain of youth sure ain't in no whiskey bottle, lol.
It's taken me two weeks to begin to feel human again, and for my face to slim down to look human again. I'd settle to look as good as I did in my forties, lol.

Having those heavy bags
lifted, stolen, swiped,
whatever you want to
call them is sooooo
I carried baggage with
me for a long time and
knew it was wrong to
do so.
All I had to do was let
them go. Easy? No it
wasn't.
I supposed when I had
enough then Id know it.
That was one lesson
hard to learn. But in
the end was truely
rewarding.
When I realized I
didnt have to do
some wrong things
in my life anymore,
then the baggage
was lifted.
The weight of the
world taken away.
Today the only weights
I carry or lift are the ones
in my bedroom. lol

D - I thought that maybe you were referring to the saddle bags...was gonna tell ya when you don't drink they tend to go away...
I still have bags under my eyes...wtf...I think I have been crying a bit too much at AA...not in a horrible way either...I'm gonna have to get the bawling in check so that I can look like I did when I was in my 20's...you old SOB...

Thanks mama, I love those sweet terms of endearment, ( "you old SOB" )!!
Makes me feel special, just like when others call me an ahole or a total jerk, I think they like me, lol.
Sorry about your bags, and all that bawling, but hey, some of us gotta look good, and it don't happen to everyone, ya know, lol.
Just kidding, you look great from here!!
Off topic, I'm watching that movie, Fatal Attraction, with Michael Douglas & Glenn Close - what's up with boiling the bunny, some people are just totally wacko.

That reminds me of something my husband always said when I felt like **** hungover...he'd say, "It's not how you feel that's important...it's how you look...and you look marvelous". I did call you an a'shole when I read that...lol...love the laughs.
