Final Acceptance

Today is when I admit that being a recovering alcoholic means, for me, that I am ALWAYS an alcoholic.No maybes, and no restarts. I can not play around with 'maybe just one ... maybe just today' - this has not worked for me and never will work for me.

It was actually a relief to accept my active alcoholism.
Then I could take positive action to improve my life.

We can and do recover.
