Still trying to get my day 1

Not having much success - I am going to try to make today the day. I am scared of the withdrawal but figure nothing can be as bad as what I'm living at the moment. Drinking steadily increased to nearly 2 bottles of wine a day so I dont need to tell anyone how rubbish I feel right now. I feel determined at the moment - nearly arranged to go for a drink at lunch and stopped myself. Now to make a plan for tonight...

I'm sending prayers and good wishes that today will be the first of many sober days for you.

I'm so glad you're back! I check for you from time to time b/c we started at the same time.

Have you considered going to the doctor? Finding help for your depression would be an awesome start, I think.

eta: did you go through withdrawals the last time?

It's going to be hard.. I'll tell you that! But you are definitely worth that effort don't you think? We all know what it's like. Just keep coming here and reading posts, and posting your own struggle for support, it really helps

Day 1 was easier for me than days 2-5.. They were strange and I ate a LOT of candy!! You can get through this, and it only takes ONE day to start! You CAN DO IT!!

Feel like rubbish at the moment. And scared. Oh well, here goes nothing. A night of fear, anxiety and no sleep. Cannot say I am looking forward to it.

You might not look forward to tonight, but you should be looking forward to how you'll feel on the other side. I remember how hard it was (day 1 was brutal for me) but I never had a cheering squad which you have hear at SR.

Welcome back Almay. Good to hear from you

Please go to the Dr is you feel unwell.

Are you doing this with support this time, or on your own again?
