Question Is it polite to attend an AA meeting when you have a cold?

I've been suffering through this nasty cold for about a week now - and haven't gone to a meeting since it started. I'm afraid to spread my germs to other people. Man, I really miss going to the meetings. Thought this might be a useful thread for someone.

Well....no. But if your sobriety is in danger
go anyway.
My home group keeps both tissues and hand santizers
on the tables.
You could take your own.

You could also use your phone to keep in contact
attend on line meeting ahnd keep active with us.

Hope your cold will abate soon.

I am glad someone asked this. I have been wondering if it's ok, since I am sick too.

Try not to cough on your hands before everyone holds hands at the end! (I did this! I was horrified.)

I think you should go to a meeting. I agree with bringing hand sanitizer!

Go to the meeting, skip the hugs until you're over the worst of it, and if you aren't comfortable holding hands (or are afraid others won't be comfortable), you can stand sorta in-between with your hands in front of you.

I would say go to the meeting, avoid directly touching other people, carry hand sanitizer and wash your hands. Folks will understand and appreciate that you don't want to spread your cold.

I'm sure you can sit apart from others and refrain from sneezing all over everyone. Take tissues and wash your hands b4 you hold hands at the end of the meeting. Absolutely go to the meeting if you need one.
