Whats the best thing where you live?
When I'm reading posts I always look at where they live or are located.
Like if someone says 'East USA' - I always think 'wow'. I wonder what they see when they look out of their window?
I'm not sure what the best thing is about where I live. It's not very glamourous!!
When I look out of the window, I see a park in front of my house and folk walking their dogs.
Just intriguied!!!

I live in Pennsylvania.
The best thing about where I live is, is that my where my backyard stops it is all forests and mountains.
There are so many critters that I see. Deer, Skunks, Racoons, Wild Turkeys...that come in my yard.
My best one was waking up about 3 for some water and turning on my porch lite only to see a beautiful owl perched on my deck. He just turned his head (without moving his body like owls do) and looked at me

Yeah, I understand. My city isn't very glamorous either. In fact, I call it
"2-hours" as it's two hours away from anything and everything.
2-hours to San Francisco;
2-hours to Yosemite;
2-hours to Monterey;
2-hours to the ocean;
2-hours to the mountains;
2-hours to hike;
2-hours to ski;
2-hours to clear my mind and gain a new perspective!

I live in Connecticut ...I can walk to the beach or to a train that takes me to Manhattan, my favorite city in the world. My town is just the right size...not too big...not too small...I know a lot ofmpeople so running errands becomes a social event. We have no mountains and the Sound isn't as exciting as the ocean, we have snowy winters, colorful springs, green summers and the best autumns.

Maybe you do!!!
I live next door to Tomm too, or very close by. Although my closet football team, don't get on with his very well lol!!
I keep thinking how amazing it must be to live somewhere amazing. I would love to wake up and see mountains or the beach or yellow cabs. Or is it exciting living in a trailer with lots of other trailers around.
I usually wake up to see the queue the M62 or The M1 in the morning. People heading to the motorway to get going to work.
Maybe I need to move!!

I live not too far from the largest city in Texas. In less than an hour, I can be sitting in Minute Maid Stadium watching the Astros get their butts beat. Or I can be in the Museum of Natural Science, watching an IMAX movie. Or I can be at the zoo, looking at animals. In a little over an hour, I can be at the top of the San Jacinto Monument, looking at the skyline. In less than two hours, I can be in Galveston looking out over the ocean.
The best thing where I am right now, though? My little dog.

Durham, NC is a fabulous little city. We're part of the "Triangle" area of NC, which includes Raleigh and Chapel Hill, and this part of the state is unusually liberal...which I like. Durham has some kick-ass AA, lots of meetings, lots of good sobriety, and plenty of variety in meetings. In addition to all the things that make Durham a groovy place to live, we're not far from the beach or the mountains. I love it here and doubt I'd ever want to live anywhere else.
I live in a small town (5000 people) in SE AZ.
What I like about it is the view. You can see the mountains all around, and we are on a hill with some really nice houses. Going down the hill you can see the town from a bird's eye view, which is really neat. We are also about half an hour from Tucson, so there is stuff to do there. An hour away is an old mining town that was taken over by artsy hippies, and I love visiting the shops and galleries there. Our area has some really cool geographical features as well.

"There's no place like home..!"
Home for me is here in
Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
It took moving to Houston, Tx
for 10 yrs, to only realize that
I miss my hometown of B.R., La.
Sure Houston had many opportunities
available for my little family,,,,more
so than here in B.R. and they excelled
tremendously.
However for this Italian, who is quite
settled in my own ways, didnt like up
rooting to a new town.
Houston is pretty, huge, and lots
of everything. More than I actually
need.
I like simplicity and familiarity.
3 yrs ago I returned to Baton Rouge
and sooooo love it here.
The traffic is nothing like that in
Houston.
Houston is city city city.
I love moss covered trees and
space between each house.
Unlike Houston where they are
constantly building and filling
all spaces available.....
I couldnt stand using my bathroom
knowing i could hear my neighbors
at their front door chatting.
Can't even take a "dump" in peace..lol
Home is where the heart is.
Baton Rouge is and always will be
my home.

You must be about 1 hour from me!
The best thing about where I live is I'm an hour away from San Francisco and I'm not in the desert anymore!

Not much to do where I live but walk the woods with the dogs. I've lived in the mountains, in the big city and on the river but this is the best place ever because here I am sober. I have created my sober oasis.

We have the most amazing sunsets here. Wish I had a pic to share.
In the early morning you can see so much wildlife. Had a bobcat on my patio this morning, sniffing around the turtles in the back yard. My little Chihuahua startled him and he ran away. (comical)
Mountains and desert terrain everywhere, washes full of water from the monsoon rains. It is so green.
Only 3 hours away from the Gulf of Mexico.

I live in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I look out on a neighborhood street lined with 4-5 story pine trees, although Katrina took out at least half of them. There's still a lot, though..... they grow like weeds.
I'm a transplant from Ohio and I must say everywhere I've lived there have been wonderful unique things. Here, I enjoy the cooking, the foilage, and going to New Orleans or the gulf.

I live in Osaka Japan. It is a big city. There are lots of people live here. We still have mature and seasons. I like river walk along River Yodo. We can see many birds, fishes and turtles up there. Rice field along the river is also nice.
