Nice when we find unexpected support from the important people in our lives, isn't it?

That's great, your post really made me smile.

i used to stress and create terrible agony for myself, worrying about the family, the family dinners, the wine served with dinner, would they ask me to buy wine for dinner, etc.etc...I made mountains out of molehills and got all my exercise jumping to conclusions...i created all these scenarios in my head

i finally just said, i'm not drinking, it's affecting my health, I've been feeling crappy.....and they said, "Oh OK, bring dessert instead of wine for dinner, what kind of soda do you like"?

poof.

Happy for you Xuse. It's wonderful to have someone support you, especially your brother. Should make you feel better. Good relationships help us through the hard times. Keep fighting the fight.

Best Wishes to You

I'm happy this isn't going to be an issue for you. Talk about support from unexpected sources.
